Ingredients
1 Package of manicotti
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella
1/2 cup shredded parmesan
1 jar marinara sauce
Basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
Preparation
1. Assemble the Bake
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread about half of the marinara sauce evenly on the bottom of a baking dish. Arrange the stuffed manicotti shells in a single layer over the sauce. Pour the remaining sauce over the shells, covering them completely.
2. Add Cheese Topping
Add the mozzarella cheese evenly over the top. This will melt and create a golden, bubbly crust. Add the grated parmesan after it has baked.
3. Bake
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes to brown the cheese. Let it rest for 5 minutes before enjoying
